Let's get the 2022/2023 season kicked off with our "Come and Try for Free/Sign on Day".
The day is for our Tiny Tots (athletes either 5 years old or turning 5 during the August 2022 - March 2023 season to U17 athletes. Online Registrations will open on or just before our sign-on day (we will update you when the registration portal is ready for your new season registration).
Adult athletes (opens and masters), please do come along to our day! While you won't be able to sign on just yet, your season with Qld Athletics will open in just a few short weeks. We would love for you to come and see our facility and meet with us.

The Spring Carnival is held each year at the Bundaberg Region Athletics Facility and is open to all U7 – U17 LAQ registered athletes. The competition provides a means for Centre athletes a chance to gain additional competition towards the end of or leading into the LAQ season and leading into the higher level school competitions.
To foster team spirit, all athletes registered with a LAQ Centre, through their competing, will earn points towards the Competition’s Centre Weighted Points Trophy.
Spring Carnival 100m Gift Races are also included in the program. The first placed athletes in the U9 – U17 age groups are offered an opportunity to compete in a handicapped race using starting distances calculated on each competing athlete’s 100m times.

The LAQ Central Coast Region is now taking expressions of interest for their development tour. Tour is open to nominations from those athletes in U13 - U17.
Train with LAQ coaches and peers from across the Central Coast Region, take a bus to Brisbane and home again. There will even be a bit of socialising fun!

The Summer Carnival aims to give all registered athletes in U9 – U17 age groups the opportunity to take part in a large-scale competition, without any of the pressures associated with a Championship. The main purpose of the day is for athletes of all abilities to have an enjoyable day’s competition and foster new friendships. To foster team spirit, all athletes registered with a LAQ Centre, through their competing, will earn points towards the Competition’s Centre Weighted Points Trophy. Summer Carnival 100m Gift Races are also included in the program. The first placed athletes in the U9 – U17 age groups are offered an opportunity to compete in a handicapped race using starting distances calculated on each competing athlete’s 100m times. Additionally it allows the athletes of the U13 age group to register performances that the State Team Selectors may need to refer to later in the season when selecting the State Team.

The McDonald’s State Championships is the final major competition in the LAQ calendar. LAQ Registered Athletes from all corners of the State take part in this annual event in the hope of becoming the State Champion in their chosen event.
